We are launching Low-Tech Practices for the City, a series of workshops to design and build simple, sustainable solutions for everyday life: cooking without fire, efficient irrigation and making the most of heat.

Upcoming workshops

31 October · 10:00–13:00

We will build a traditional pantry to keep food fresh for longer, make the most of vegetables and reduce waste.

Keeping heat in

5 December · 10:00–13:00

We will design and build a “haybox cooker” (olla bruja), a cooking system that uses residual heat without consuming any extra energy. We will also explore making thermal textile accessories, along with the principles of insulation and sewing applied to everyday life.

Registration opening soon.

Organised by SlowLab in collaboration with AKASHA Hub, with the support of Barcelona City Council.
