Solar Radio Project
Work in progress
Below is the circuit of the solar radio module built during the workshop we hosted in IED last February 2026.

Gravity Energy Generator
Work in progress
What if we could really harness gravity to make electricity?
We set ourselves the challenge of turning gravity into a source of power — taking inspiration from projects like Gravity Light, but trying to push the idea further.
The process wasn’t straightforward. We experimented with weights, ropes, and axes, learning how different pulley and hoist configurations affected the system. A key difficulty was controlling the rotation: gravity pulls slowly and steadily, but a generator needs faster, more consistent movement. By decoupling the speed through mechanical adjustments, we began to see the first sparks of usable electricity.
Fireless Cooker Stool
In small kitchens it can be difficult to find extra space so we designed ours in the shape of a stool so it can fit anywhere at home.
In addition to saving energy (up to 80% less gas or electricity used during cooking), it helps not overheating your house when cooking during hot summer days.
Tips for use
- Do not open while in use
- Food safety: under 65°C > risk of bacteria development. Reheat to a boil if it stayed too long (beyond 3h)
- & experiment a lot!
'
Cooking time example
- Chickpeas, beans : 30 min on the stove + 2-3h in the fireless cooker
- Potatoes : 10 min on the stove + 1h30 in the fireless cooker

Solar & Pedal Powered Community Kiosk
We have co-designed and co-created a mobile cart with low-tech devices, including a solar oven, a music station powered by solar energy, and bike generator.
Design and construction by the SlowLab collective and the cooperative aquí. In collaboration with the Contorno Urbano foundation, the social club Relaciona’t, and the JAPI association.
