Fermentation

Low tech life Festival

We participated in the Low-Tech Life Festival organized by El Mandala in Asturias. We hosted an “Aperitivo Solar”, a festive event where we cooked with vegetables from the permaculture garden using three different models of solar ovens.

In addition to the solar ovens, participants were able to discover and experience other low tech devices such as a solar dehydrator and a bike generator that powered music.

We arrived a few days early to build everything on site and collaborate with several volunteers from the space to share knowledge about these artifacts and construct them together.

Con-serve

In collaboration with the Leka restaurant in Barcelona, we organized an exhibition titled “Con-serve.” The event explored new narratives around food and ancestral traditions from different cultural backgrounds.

We collaborated with other creatives to create an exhibition space and workshops where we could discuss various topics related to this theme.

We organized a workshop on fermentation and talked about the process of preserving food for different seasons. We wanted to raise the question of immediacy and its contrast with slow natural processes. This is part of a slow perspective in which we let things take their time and consume less energy.
